This illustration that was commissioned by Bishop Todd for his Dungeons and Dragons campaign. It captures a funny moment in their story where the protagonist, Tim (who’s looks usually match his horse), dressed up as a pastel clown to mock his opponent in a race without altering the appearance of his horse at all. I really enjoyed the strong contrast between the clown costume and the edgy look of the war horse. I left the background blank as not to take away from the focal point (the clown) and I chose red to compliment the war horse to push the contrast even more. I illustrated the entire thing digitaly in Fire Alpaca.
