These were pieces I had originally made for fun but ended up putting in a show (The grad Ball - 2025). These are some early concept art for my Joseph project, he’s a quintuplet so I wanted to illustrate an image that involved all five of them and referenced an older work I had done of their older sister so that they’d go together.

These were some of my first pieces using Procreate for the first time. I had found both of the reference images from Pinterest. Making up a pose that involved five characters was more difficult than previously thought and I knew I wanted their sister to be muscular but I didn’t have good anatomy knowledge yet. For the one on the left, after I had finished sketching, lining, and blocking in my flat colors, I filled everything with white, then added my values in monochrome, and used a hand picked gradient map. For the one on the right, I was mainly focused on making sure that it was clear that their sister was, in fact, a sister, despite her masculinity and using a male reference photo. I didn’t use gradient map on the right one, mainly because I didn’t know what a gradient map was at the time.
