At the time I was looking at a lot of artworks that involved orange and green color palettes so I wanted to challenge myself since it wasn’t a color combo I usually do. I also simply thought this idea was funny. This is one of my first attempts at playing with type in an illustration that wasn’t a text bubble. I didn’t want this piece to look like a comic panel; I wanted amore cinematic look so I added the type as if it was a subtitle. Originally I had used white for the type, since that’s that traditional subtitle color, but I went with yellow. Since there was no white anywhere else in the piece I felt that the white distracted from the focal point. I used only Fire Alpaca to create this.
